So here we are, six days out. I leave for a semester abroad in Paris, France in less than a week. Considering that I've been planning this trip more or less since the seventh grade, one would think I'd be a bit more ready. But due to a combination of a holiday break filled with travel and the hectic sorority rush week that quickly followed it, I find myself fairly unprepared for this trip of a lifetime. I have my visa, flight reservation, and a host family waiting...and that's about it. These last six days in the good ol' US of A will be filled with last minute packing, shopping, planning, and goodbyes.
As bittersweet as it was to leave Lehigh today, having barely met my sorority's brand-new pledge class, I can't wait to finally arrive in Paris. It'll be weird to miss out on a semester, but I don't think living in Paris should be too unbearable! More to come when the real excitement begins!
